There are a lot of things that I put on the baby registry that I hardly ever use, but then there are some things we simply could not survive without. Although I have so many more baby items I could recommend, here are the ten I feel I simply couldn't live without.

Please click on the item name or picture to be redirected to Amazon.

1. Burt's Bees Burp Cloths

These burp cloths are hands down THE BEST you can buy. They are soft, super absorbent, and withstand constant washing. My daughter had really bad reflux and we probably went through 8 burp clothes a day. I think we have about 15 in total. They are worth the money! My daughter prefers these cloths over toys or clothes for comfort and cuddling.

2. Mommy's Helper Inflatable Bath

This tub is a GREAT option for transitioning out of the infant tub but not yet ready to sit in the tub on their own. My daughter has finally outgrown her baby tub but was so scared and uncomfortable when we tried putting her in the normal tub - we got this and it solved all of our problems! She loves lounging in it as well as just sitting up and playing with toys while she gets a bath.

3. DockATot

This saved us! Like I've mentioned before, my daughter had terrible reflux. She would only fall asleep while being held and my husband and I were desperate for any chance for some shuteye. Someone gave us their DockATot to try and it was a lifesaver. It was the only way Ellie would sleep without being held. We took shifts supervising, but it allowed us some freedom and gave us our sanity back. To me, it was so worth it!

4. FridaBaby NoseFrida The SnotSucker

This takes the fuss out of clearing your baby’s stuffy nose. My daughter hated the bulb syringe and, by the way, they never worked at all for me. But this! This is an amazing tool to have in your mommy box. My daughter is not phased by it at all and it is extremely effective in clearing her nose when she is stuffed up.

5. Owlet Smart Sock

Talk about peace of mind! As a first-time mom and an anxious person in general the concern of whether or not my daughter was breathing while sleeping haunted me often, especially given she was born prematurely. This sock helped ease my anxiety just by opening the app and seeing her stats. It also is really helpful in terms of tracking her sleep and knowing when she wakes up at night and is able to put herself back to sleep. We use this every night with our daughter and it’s something I would buy/use again for future kiddos.

6. Playtex Diaper Genie

I know some people say having a diaper genie isn’t worth it and they just throw dirty diapers in the trash, but that is just not for us. I would prefer my trash not to smell like baby poop. We use ours for pretty much every diaper. It works great and keeps the smell at bay.

7. Hatch Baby Rest Sound Machine, Night Light and Time-to-Rise

This has been utilized from day one. Not only is it amazing for keeping the sounds of my three dogs clacking around the house at bay, but when we would have to go in to feed our daughter at night we wouldn't have to turn on the bright overhead light and could just feed her by the dim orange hue. We take it whenever we go anywhere that Ellie will need to sleep. You can customize it to turn on and off when you want and set your favorite settings. It really does keep all the house noise at bay and helps her sleep more soundly.

8. Papablic Baby Bottle Electric Steam Sterilizer

Another huge one for me! We use this daily. Not so much because of the sterilization feature (although I love that too), but more because of drying. It takes forever for bottles to dry on a drying rack and using this not only helps me know the bottles are clean, but also that they are dry and ready to go whenever I need them. I would buy one of these again in a heartbeat.

9. MediFrida the Accu-Dose Pacifier Baby Medicine Dispenser

This little gadget is genius! Elliana was put on liquid medication for reflux at a very young age and this was the only way we could get her to take it daily with no fuss.

10. Fortella Cloud Castle Foldable Playpen

This is awesome. I have three dogs and having this allows us to create a space for Elliana and all her toys out in the living room while keeping the dogs at a safe distance (and playing with their own toys!) It has a whiteboard on the door for when she gets older and other activities on one of the panels that she absolutely loves. It will be something we use for a long time!
